Welcome to Richard’s Driving School. I provide a range of competitively priced driving lessons in Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich, Knutsford and the surrounding areas.
I have been a driving instructor since 1999. During this time I have taught hundreds of learner drivers and trained a number of driving instructors.
My reputation has been built upon combining a rapid development approach with a relaxed patient but thorough teaching style.
This has enabled me to achieve a high pass rate within a reasonable number of driving lessons.
Whatever your capability I will nurture your skills and build your confidence to enable you to master the requirements of modern driving as quickly as possible within a calm enjoyable environment.

I enjoy helping people reach their objective of gaining a full driving licence and becoming a skilled driver and it always gives me immense satisfaction to see someone driving around who I taught.
My learners tell me that my explanations are clear and easy to understand.
They also tell me I provide excellent value for money because they spend maximum time actually driving.
Considerable experience of adapting a variety of teaching techniques to suit the specific requirements of individual learners from the most able to those with learning disabilities.
Flexibility of approach: I will stretch the more able yet carefully develop the confidence of those needing more reassurance. Often my learners comment that I make them feel confident by helping them to realise they can achieve any task they focus upon/toward.
Tuition adapted to suit the contrasting requirements that sometimes arise from; age range, language (level of English speaking familiarity), and individual learning disposition. My prior occupation as a FE Social Science lecturer I have found highly complements my driving tuition because it enables me to directly apply to practical skill acquisition the most appropriate techniques for each unique learners specific aptitude.
I am a member of the Motor Schools Association and the North West Federation of Driving Instructor Assciations.
